The 2014 Best Wings In NEPA Are….

Published: August/12/2014

Wings at the Waterpark was a huge success! The event surpassed all expectations with an amazing turnout from people who were looking to enjoy some great wings. While there, people voted on three different categories of wings: The Best Wings in NEPA, The Hottest, and The Craziest. Now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for…

The Best Wings in NEPA:

  1. Jason’s Pub & Eatery

Congratulations to Jason’s on getting the #1 spot in all of NEPA! With their showing of Hot Garlic Parm and Porketta, they blew people away with their delicious wings. It was a well-deserved win for Jason’s Pub & Eatery.

  2. Ale Mary’s

Even though they are new to the wing scene, they have already made an impression on the wing lovers in NEPA. The flavors were tasty and unique, as you’ll see later on.

  3. Kelly’s Pub

Kelly’s has always been a staple in the wing scene in NEPA. They did not disappoint once again.

The Hottest:

  1. Slingshots Bar & Grill

Having perhaps the hottest Hot wing at event, Slingshots Bar & Grill definitely earned the gold in the Hottest category with the Engine 7 Fully Involved wing. Congrats to Slingshots!

  2. Andy Gavin’s Eatery & Pub

I had people telling me that the Death Sauce from Andy Gavin’s was ridiculously hot. Generally, these people were sweating at their brow and red in the face. If you want an outrageously spicy wing, try the Death sauce.

  3. Penalty Box Tavern

Another wing that had people sweating, the Ghost Pepper Sauce from Penalty Box could almost bring you to tears. It is not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.

The Craziest:

  1. Ale Mary’s

The Peanut Butter and Jelly wing from Ale Mary’s was a truly unique wing flavor. The wing sauce itself was framboise based, which added a nice raspberry taste. The wing sat on top of a marshmallow, spice sauce. To top it all off, they added cayenne peanuts to round out a really delicious wing.

  2. Bell’s County Line Pub and Eatery

Bell’s brought an Almond Joy wing to the table, which can easily be described as a dessert wing. The wing is slathered in a sweet, chocolate-like sauce and then topped with shredded coconut. You will not be disappointed if you ever get the chance to try it.

  3. Jason’s Pub and Eatery

Not only did they come in first for the best wings in NEPA, but they earned a #3 spot for the craziest wings with their Porketta wing. It’s a dry rub wing that perfectly captures that taste of porketta everyone loves. I cannot stress enough that if you have to get one wing at Jason’s, the Porketta is the way to go.

Congratulations to all the winners!
